Perfect Guacamole

Both Lauren and I love us some guac. It is probably one of our favourite dishes and it is so versatile! You can have it with breakfast, lunch, dinner or for a snack. The options are abundant.

One of my families favourite things to do when we are up north during the summer is to have some guac on the dock and watch the sunset. There is nothing quite like having some tasty guac and feeling the sun on your skin!

Guacamole is also very good for you! Avocados are filled with healthy fats, B-vitamins and fibre! The cilantro helps to detoxify and pull heavy metals out of your body. The lycopene in the tomatoes is great for prostate health. It is filled with health benefits so you shouldn’t feel guilty at all for having some!

Note: Do not throw away your avocado pits! Throw them into the guac after you have finished making it. They prevent the gauc from spoiling and going brown 🙂

2 Avocados
1 Tomato
1/4 cup Red Onion
1/2 Lime
1/2 Jalapeño
1 Garlic clove
1/8 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt
2 tbsp Cilantro (Optional)
Pepper to taste

1. Cut you avocados in half, set the pits to the side and scoop out the insides into a bowl. Mash the avocados until smooth with a fork
2. Dice your tomato, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno (remove the seeds unless you want lots of spice), garlic and add to the avocado and mix
3. Add the sea salt and juice the 1/2 lime into the bowl
4. Mix it all together and whammy you’re done!
